Carers Associations
This is an Association for the Carers of Australia, providing information and support for carers; to recognise, acknowledge and empower carers in their duty.  Each State has a separate organisation, the contact details of which can be found on the Carers Australia website.

Children Of Parents with a Mental Illness
COPMI is an Australian government initiative being undertaken by the Australian Infant Child Adolescent and Family Mental Health Association (AICAFMHA) to provide advocacy, support, information, help and respite to young carers.


Siblings Australia
Siblings Australia is a unique national organisation committed to providing support for brothers and sisters of people with special needs; including disability, chronic illness and mental health issues.

Young Carers - NSW
The Young Carers Project at Carers NSW provides services for young people, 25 years or under, who help care for a family member or friend who has an illness, disability, drug or alcohol or mental health issue.

The Mental Health Carers Arafmi Australia     
The Mental Health Carers Arafmi Australia’s mission is to represent at national level the interests of ARAFMI groups throughout Australia and the needs and concerns of their constituency – families and others voluntarily caring for people with mental illness.

Association for the Relatives and Friends of the Mentally Ill (ARAFMI)
Arafmi provides support for families and others caring for people with mental illness.  Counselling, mutual support groups, phone support, information and referral services for families are the common core of ARAFMI support services nation-wide.  Each State and Territory Arafmi has also developed its own characteristic pattern of other support and advocacy services.  Their contact details can be found by visiting: www.arafmiaustralia.asn.au

Around the clock online peer support for you to talk about depression in a safe, supportive and anonymous environment  depressioNet provides information, help and peer support to people in the community impacted by depression. The peer support service is facilitated through an email service, message boards and live chat.
