Depression

Depression, despair, dejection, disappointment - these are the deadly 'd's,
How to rise up and out - something won't let it be.

An illness with clouded days - there seems to be no hope,
A life with no meaning - how to ever cope.

Tired and weary - no inspiration - no light,
Why to feel this way - no power to fight.

No appetite - no strive - no energy - this journey is too long,
How long O Lord God must this go on - Your strength to make me strong.

I've cried out so many times - but something won't let go,
Sometimes no strength to pray - what is there for me to know.

Your God in Heaven has a message like this:-
Oh my child - It's coming soon - the breakthrough that you need,
Seek help from others if you will and know that I will lead,
I understand you - your pain and weary soul,
You're on a journey with Me - I will make you whole.

Trust Me my friend each day it's hard - reach out your hand to me,
I'll lead you safely through - you'll find comfort gloriously.

When you look back in the past - you'll know you've moved further on,
Enlightened of my glory - the depression will be gone.

Step into my presence - that's where you belong,
Cry out to me My child and I will make you strong.

Into a Holy place - My Spirit's power will overwhelm your soul,
And shower down over you - My strength will make you whole.

You know Lord God in Heaven, you are the ultimate answer to all our pain,
A peace you place inside - no matter what we lose or gain.

Just to find a secret place to sit with you alone to pray,
To bear all our burdens and fears - any time of day.

There's a light beyond the horizon, it's colorful and wondrous relief,
It's healing - complete healing - the scars gone and no more grief.

It was a long journey, but the voids and confusion are now a distant fade,
They are now removed - a smile serene - Thank God that I have prayed.
