Gwen is a clinical psychologist and family therapist with more than 30 years of experience.   She has worked in a variety of settings, including hospitals, community based programs and private practice with children, adults and family groups.
Gwen works with people in a collaborative and respectful way to help them develop more effective ways of managing their problems.   She works with people affected by depression and other mood disorders, those challenged by grief and loss, victims of crimes or other trauma, and those wanting to improve their emotional well-being using a variety of techniques.

Gwen's work with children also includes developmental assessments if required as well as helping them with emotional difficulties.   The techniques used depend on individual needs, but include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), narrative work, play therapy and supportive counselling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (Honours)
• Advanced Marital Therapy Certificate
• Graduate Diploma in Child & Adolescent Grief Counselling
• Master of Educational Psychology
