Cindy is a member of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists and provides individual and group therapy for mood and anxiety disorders, using predominantly a cognitive behavioural therapy approach.  Since completing her training in clinical psychology Cindy worked in the field of rehabilitation before engaging in private practice.   Much of this work involved the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of the psychological aspects of injury and the psychosocial issues of injured persons.  Continuing interest in the health of workers has culminated in her current Phd research into the relationship between personality and the health outcomes of injured workers.   Areas of special interest include motivation and behaviour change for health and wellness, management of mental illness, and adjustment to injury and illness.

Therapeutic approaches are tailored to meet the individual client needs, and employ evidence-based approaches.  Consulting rooms are located in the CBD.  Private health fund rebates are available.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Psychology (Hons)
  • Masters Psychology (Clinical and Health)

Memberships

  • Australian Psychological Society

Fees

Private health fund rebates may be available depending on you level of cover (must include counselling/allied health/or psychological services).  Session fees are standard however individual payment schedules can be negotiated.  Cindy is also registered with Medicare.
