Catherine Madigan is a psychologist in private practice.  She has a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Melbourne and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and the College of Clinical Psychologists.
Catherine began her career working in a community mental health clinic.  There she worked with clients who had : major depression, panic, agoraphobia, obsessive compulsive disorder, social anxiety, generalised anxiety, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Her experiences in community mental health led to her wishing to specialise in the treatment of depression and anxiety.

Currently, Catherine is a committee member of the Anxiety Disorders Association of Victoria.  She also has written a number of articles for 'The Age', 'Singles File' on relationship issues.

Catherine specialises in the treatment of depression and anxiety disorders such as: panic, social anxiety, agoraphobia, post traumatic stress disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder and generalised anxiety.

Therapeutic Orientation

Catherine practices cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).  The basic premise of CBT is that how we think affects how we feel; therefore, if we alter the way we think we can change how we feel.

Catherine aims to provide brief, effective, affordable therapy in a caring, supportive environment.

Fees

$150 per hour
$120 per hour for health care card holders.
Fees may be negotiable
