If you have difficulty searching for resources or have tried the Depression Friendly Professionals and More Resources sections but need further assistance, the Resources team at depressioNet can assist you. Please note that the Resources team can only cater for people who live in Australia.

Information Phone Lines

If you require immediate assistance with locating resources, try calling one of the following information lines:

ARAFEMI Carer's Helpline - (03) 9810 9314 - 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday - Information and support for relatives and friends of the emotionally and mentally ill.

Beyondblue Information Line – 1300 224 636 – 24/7 Phone service offering information about depression and anxiety, and for referrals to healthcare professionals and community health services.

Lifeline’s Just Ask – 1300 131 114 – 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday – Information and referral for people affected by mental health issues. Information includes relevant local services, as well as links to books and websites.

SANE Helpline – 1800 18 72 36 - 9am-5pm weekdays - Information and advice

ONLINE PEER SUPPORT

Around the clock online peer support for you to talk about depression in a safe, supportive and anonymous environment  depressioNet provides information, help and peer support to people in the community impacted by depression. The peer support service is facilitated through an email service, message boards and live chat.
Peer Support at depressioNet operates 24 hours a day, please remember that we are not a professional mental health service and cannot provide emergency assistance.
