    Free anonymous 24/7 generalist counselling that does not discriminate.
     

  • Suicide Call Back Service - 1300 659 467 - 10am to 8:30pm everyday - Referral line for people at risk of suicide, people caring for someone who is suicidal or people bereaved by suicide. Service offers six sessions of 50 minute telephone counselling over a period of up to six months.

  • OzHelp Foundation – 6251 4166 or 0412 507 593- 24/7 – Suicide intervention and prevention

  • Kids Help Line – 1800 55 1800 – 24/7 - For young people aged 5-25; free,
    confidential and anonymous counselling

  • Canberra Rape Crisis Centre – 02 6247 2525 - 24/7 - Sexual assault counselling

  • Crisis Assessment and Treatment Team - 1800 629 354 or 6205 1065- 24/7 - Assessment and treatment of mentally ill people in crisis situations.

  • Domestic Violence Crisis Service - 02 6280-0900 - 24/7 - Counselling, support, and referral to safe accommodation.

  • Drug Referral & Information Centre - 02 6207 9977 - Range of programs to assist people with problematic alcohol and/ other drug use in the ACT.

  • Men's Accommodation & Crisis Service - 02 6258 4216 Short term crisis accommodation, information and
    referral services to men, or men and their children who are in a marriage or relationship breakdown situation.

  • Poisons Information Line – 131126 -24/7 Information for poisoning due to prescription medication and more

  • Alcohol and Drug Program - 02 6207 9977 or 1300 657 380 - 24/7 - Information, advice, referral, intake, assessment and support for individuals, family and friends, general practitioners, other health professionals, business and community groups.

  • Family Services - 02 6207 1069 (North) or 02 6207 1466 (Southern) or (after hours and  weekend) 02 6207 0720. Discuss concerns or to report abuse in order to protect children from abuse.

  • G Line Gambling Hotline - 1800 633 635 - 24/7 Problem gambling information, counselling and referral help line.

  • Health First - (02) 6207 7777 - 24/7 - To speak with a registered nurse for health advice

  • Mensline - 1300 78 99 78 - 24/7 – Confidential and anonymous counselling, information, and referral for all men, in all relationships.

  • Parent line ACT – 6287 3833 -  9am to 9pm Monday to Friday - Confidential telephone counselling
    service aimed at providing professional counselling and support for parents and all who have the care of children.

  • Parentlink - 13 34 27 – 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday – Information and advice for parents

  • SANE - 1800 18 7263 - 9am to 5pm, Monday to Fridays – Information and advice
