Recently while reading through the Message Board, we stumbled across a wonderful idea one
of our visitors came up with during a time of need.
A loved one was going through depression as he does every year following the death of his mother.
Our visitor decided to make him what she called a 'Legacy of Love Treasure Box' to share with his
mother during these times "in the hope that his sadness would turn to happiness."
She painted the box gold and the lid deep maroon
with an orange love heart on it. Inside she put a piece of gold material with various colour sequences.
Wrapped inside the material, she put a notebook and pen for him to write his thoughts down.
"I made it with love and asked him to fill it with love, his mothers favourite perfume, flower,
photographs, old cards, whatever he can find or think of.
Once he has spent this time with his mum,
he can close the lid and be happy that the spent these moments with her. I hope this will help him heal.
" Our visitor offered it as a suggestion for others who don't know how to help grieving loved ones.
She said her boyfriend was deeply touched by the gift and so were we!"
