Looking for a non-medication treatment for depression?

The Monash Alfred Psychiatry Research Centre at the Alfred Hospital is accepting volunteers into a clinical trial of an investigational, non-medication treatment for depression. Participants must be between the ages of 18 and 85, have a diagnosis of Major Depression, be currently depressed, and have tried at least two antidepressant medications without getting completely well. Participation involved daily outpatient attendance over a number of weeks. The procedure involves the use of a non-invasive magnetic device, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). Medication therapy is permitted to continue during the trial. Participation is completely confidential.
